Charles takes on four of Frederick the Great’s most difficult battles, carefully chosen for the challenges they throw up. As with the previous volumes Charles’ historical overview of the actual events is justification for the book by itself. But it is of course so much more, as usual, with vital information in orders of battle, the expert wargamer’s eye, some new themes such as Converged Grenadier regiment, and then there are the late Bob Marrion’s plates.
