The changes can be listed as follows: the organisation of regiments is now by province, the uniform/ equipment chapters have an additional 120 illustrations (from the original 60), 34 flags have been added, there are 55 contemporary illustrations from the 1749 Drill Book, the Grenz uniforms have been massively expanded It is hard to admit you need this edition more than the first, but the fact is that it is completely true.
