Here Stephen provides a thorough, detailed study of the Musketeer regiments of the period. Although many volumes have been written on the Prussian Army, this ground-breaking study, which unlike many does not rely simply on Menzel plates, but includes mostly new artwork plus contemporary illustrations from the 1740-1770 period, provides a regiment by Regiment analysis, detailing the lace patterns throughout and showing both flags (the flags in particular are magnificently drawn).
