INTRODUCTION

I am thrilled and honored that Robert Griffing, or "Griff as he is lovingly called by friends and patrons, reached out to me to collaborate with him in the creation of his fourth book. We approached the project with the same zeal and intensity as we did brainstorming creative campaigns for our clients at MARC USA back in the day.

This collection helps exemplify the Robert Griffing brand through a collection of his works presented in the context of his unique heritage, authentic life influences and vivid personal stories and experiences. As Griff acknowledges, "There are many things that contribute to the direction that one's life might take. As we go through this book, hopefully you will see the people, places, and events that Influenced me in my pursuit of art and history.”

Unlike the first three books, this release not only includes all 65 of bis latest paintings since Griff's last book, but it also features an extensive collection of over 51 of his most popular works that he singled out for special repeat performances. These paintings are commingled with his new pieces to complement artist Griffing's narrative and storyline that is woven throughout the book. His story is an authentic outpouring and expression of his profound appreciation and pride in his ancestral history, his life experiences and deep love for Native American culture. It has all been sparked by his interest in Archeology and his love for history that have enhanced his insightful storytelling.

As such, besides his paintings, the read in this opus also includes many authentic quotes and personal stories in Griff's own words, along with the many creative captions he has written for many of his paintings. He has excelled as a masterful wordsmith as well as an accomplished artist throughout his stellar career.

His ancestors and the many people in his life have really made a difference, nurturing him, believing in him, loving him and supporting him throughout his journey. He has been driven, inspired and honored with a Mohawk adoption. His life's vision continues to be fulfilled and Griff is grateful for all the support he has garnered from his loving family, friends and patrons.
